16. From needing danger to bee good
From owing thee Yesterdaies teares to daie
From trusting so mvch to thy blood
That in that hope wee wound our Soule awaie
From bribinge thee with Almes, to excuse
Some Sinne more burdennous
From light affecting in Religion newes
From thincking vs all Soule, neglecting thus

17. From tempting Satan, to tempt vs,
By our conniuence, or slack Companie
From measuring ill, by Vitious
Neglecting to choake Sinnes spawne vanitie
From indiscreete hvmility
Which might bee scandalous
And cast reproach on Christianite
From being Spies, or to Spies peruious.
From thirst, or scorne of Fame, deliuer vs.|

18. Deliuer vs for thy descent
Into the Virgin, whose wombe was a place
Of middle kynde; and thou being sent
To vngratious vs, staidst att her, full of grace.
And through thy poore birth, where first thou
Glorifiedst Pouertie
And yett soone after riches didst allowe
By acceptinge kinges giftes in the Epiphanie
