The Doctors.

13. Thy sacred Academe aboue
Of Doctors, whose paines haue vnclaspd, and tought
Both bookes of life to vs (for loue
To knowe thy Scriptures, tell vs wee are wrought
In thy other booke) pray for vs there
That what they haue Misdonne
Or Mis=said, wee to that may not adhere
Their Zeale may bee our Sinne: Lord lett vs run
Meane waies, and call them Starrs, but not the Sun.|

14. And whilst this Vniuersall Quire
That Church in tryvmph, this in Warfare here
Warmd with one-all-partaking fire
Of loue, that none be lost, which cost thee deare
Pray ceaselesly, and thou harken too
(Since to bee gratious
Our taske is treble, to Praie, Beare, and Do)
Heare this praier Lord, O Lord deliuer vs
From trustinge in those praiers, though powrd out thus|

15. From being Anxious, or secure
Dead clodds of Sadnes, or light Squibbs of Mirth
From thinkinge that greate Courtes Immure
All, or no happines,, or that this Earth
Is only for our Prison framd,
Or that thou art couetous
To them whome thou loust, or that they are Maymd
From reaching this worldes sweets, who seeke thee thus
