No power to passe. 45. And thou hast made vs fall
As refuse, and ofscouringe to them all
46. All our Foes gape at vs; 47 Feare and a snare
With ruine, and with waste vpon vs are.
48. With watrie Riuers. doth myne Eie oreflow
For rvine of my peoples daughter so.
49. Myne Eie doth drop downe teares incessantly,
50. Vntill the Lord looke downe from heauen to see.
51. And for my Cittie Daughters sake myne Eie
Doth break my hart. 52. Causeles mine enimie
Like a Bird chasd mee 53 In a Dungeon
They haue shutt my life, and cast on mee a stone
54. Waters flowed ore my head, then thought I. I am
Destroyd; 55. I called Lord vppon thy name,
Out of the Pitt, 56 And thou my voyce didst heare;
Oh from my Sigh. And cry stop not thine eare;
57: Then when I called vpon thee, thou drewst neere
Vnto mee, and sayst vnto mee, do not feare.
58. Thou Lord, my Soules cause handled hast, and thou
Rescuedst my life. 59 O Lord do thou Iudg now:
Thou hearest my wrong. 60 Their vengance, all they haue wrought
61. How they reproachd, thou hast hard, and what they thought
62. What their lipps vttered, which against mee rose;
And what was ever whispered by my foes.
63. I am their Songe whether they rise or sitt:
64. Giue them Rewardes Lord, for their working, fitt:
65. Sorrow of hart, thy Curse. 66. And with thy Might
Follow, And from vnder heaven destroy them quite.| [CW: How]
