3 This is my plaies last Scene here Heauens apointe
My Pilgrimages last mile, and my race
Idely yet quickly rvn̅, hath this last pace
My spans last inch, My Minuts last pointe
And gluttonvs death will instantly vnioynte
My boddie, and Soule, And I shall sleep a space
But my everlastinge parte shall see that face
Whose feare allredye shakes my everie ioynte
Then as my Soule to heauen, her first seate taks flight
And earth borne bodie in the Earth shall dwell
Soe full my Sinns that all may haue their right
To where they are bred; And wolde press mee to hell
Impute mee righteous thus purgd of euill
For thus I leaue the World, the flesh, and deuill
4 At ye round earths imagined corners blowe
Your trumpetts Angells, and arise, Arise
From death yow memberles infinities
Of Soules, and to your scattered boddies goe
All whome the floud did, and fire shall ouerthrowe
All whome Warr, Death, Age, Agues tiranies
Despaire, law, chance hath slayne, And yow whose eyes.
Shall behold Godd, and never last deaths woe,
But let them sleepe Lord, and mee mourne a space,
For if aboue all these my synns abounde
Tis late to aske aboundance of thy grace
When wee are their, here on this lowely ground
Teach mee how to repent, for thats as good
As if thou hadst seald my pardon with thie blood. |
