Annun ["Tamely fraile bodie abstaine to daie; to daie"]

Sad and reioycd shees seene att once: and seene
Att almost fiftie, and att, scarce fifteene.
Att once a Sonne is promisd her, and gone,
Gabriell giues Christ to her, hee her to Iohn:
Nott fullie A Mother shees in Orbitie
Att once reseauer, and the Legacie.
All this, and all betweene this daie hath showne
The Abridgment of Christs Storie, which makes one.
(As in plaine Maps the farthest EWest is East)
Of the Angells Aue, And Consummatum est)
How well the Church Gods court of faculties
Deales in some times, and sildome ioyninge these?
As by the selfe fixt Pole wee never doe
Direct our course, but the next Starr thereto
Which shewes where the other is, and which wee saie,
(Because itt straies not farr, doth never straie;)
So God by his Church, neerest to him wee knowe
And stand firme if wee by her Motion goe
His Spiritt, as his fiery Pillar doth
Lead; and his Church a Cloud, to one end both.
This Church by lettinge these daies ioyne hath showne
Death, and Conception, in Mankynde, is one.
Or twas in him the same humilitye,
That hee would bee a Man, and leaue to bee;
Or as Creation hee had made, as God
With the last Iudgment but one Period.
His Imitating Spouse would ioyne in one
Manhoods extreames: Hee shall come, hee is gone,
Or as though one blood drop, which thence did fall
Accepted would haue serud, hee yett shed all.
