BedfReas ["Reason is our Soules left hand, Fayth her right;"]

Marke if to gett them shee skip the rest
Marke if shee reed them twice; or kisse the name;
Marke if shee doe the same that they protest;
Marke if shee marke whether her woman came.

Marke if slight thinges bee obiected, and ore-blowne;
Marke if her Oathes against him bee nott still
Reserud; and that shee grieues, shees not her owne;
And chides the Doctrine that denies free will.

I bid thee not doe this, to bee my Spie
Nor to make my selfe her Familier;
But so mvch I doe loue her choyse that I
Would faine loue him, that shall bee loud of Her.|

To the Countesse of B.
Madam,

Reason is our Soules left hand, Fayth her right;
By these wee reach Diuinitie thats you,
Those loues, who haue the blessing of your sight,
Grew from their Reason, Myne from faire Fayth grew

But as although a Squint left-handednes
Bee vngratious, yett wee cannot want that hand;
So would I not to Increase to increase, but to expres
My Faith, as I believe, so vnderstand.

Therfore I studdie yow, first in your Saincts
Those friendes, whome your Election glorifies:
Then in your Deeds, Accesses, and Restraintes
And what yow reede, and what your selfe deuise. [CW: But.]
